Daniel Knudsen

Daniel Knudsen, age 74, passed away January 24, 2022.

He was born July 10, 1947, to the late Frederick and Barbara (Harter) Knudsen in Council Bluffs, IA. Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a longtime grocery store director. Dan loved his family and showed us all what love is. Our mom was his true love and he showed her that everyday. His grandkids meant everything to him and they all loved spending time at papa and nunu’s. Dan loved to cook and always had food for them. He also loved to tinker around house and build stuff for the kids. Dan was an Elder at Grace Community Fellowship and loved his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Weatherill, and brother, Robert Knudsen.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynette "Lynn" Knudsen; children Sara (Matthew) Meade, Luke (Kimberly) Knudsen, and Elizabeth (Stephen Froehlich) Nolting; siblings, Patty (John) Hiffernan, and Kristie (Gary) Elliff; mother-in-law, Una Mae Nielsen; 9 grandchildren, Grant Meade, Tye Knudsen, Rush Knudsen, Erica Nolting, Ruby Nolting, Mariah Nolting, Lane Nolting, Ryker Nolting, and Clement "C.J.." Froehlich; brother-in-law, Tom Weatherwill; extended family, Nick Nolting; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 29, 2022. The family will direct memorials.
