John D. Scott

John D. Scott, age 87, passed away February 15, 2022.

He was born in Hampton, Iowa, on June 16, 1934, to the late Paul and Marjorie (Duncan) Scott. John graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a longtime associate at Clark Drug.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Butch Bowman; sister-in-law, Donna Scott.

John is survived by his wife, Bernadette Scott; Bernadette’s children, David Lamphear (Paula), Rose Bowman, Susan Howard (Jeff), and Kathy Hager (Mike); brother, Jim Scott; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday February 18, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Family and friends will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. and go in procession to Cedar Lawn Cemetery for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials in John’s honor.
