Adeline Funk-Thompson, age 90, passed away November 12, 2014. She was born near Silver City, Iowa on January 9, 1924 to the late Laurence & Anna Gertrude (Deluhery) Collier. She was co-owner of Bleu Inn Cafe until her retirement. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.She enjoyed working in the church food pantry, serving funeral dinners and singing in the choir. She was also active in the Stewardship Circle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thompson; son, Larry Funk; brother, Edward Collier. Adeline is survived by her sons, Dale Funk (Roxanna) and Paul Funk (Frances Stubbs); siblings, Lucille Lee, Edmund Collier (Louise), Paul Collier (Doris), Alice Witthauer, Geneiveve Ratekin (Jim); grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Christian Church - 1919 South 10th Street in Council Bluffs. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
