Alma Wetzel

Alma W. Wetzel, age 92, passed away peacefully at Northcrest Living Center January 12, 2025.

She was born September 30, 1932, to the late Chris and Christine (Sonksen) Albertsen in Audubon, IA. Alma graduated from Audubon High School with the class of 1951. She retired from Mercantile Bank as a teller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wetzel; son, Roger Wetzel; grandson, Roger Wetzel Jr.; siblings, Helen Hansen and Alvin Albertsen.

Alma is survived by children, Lorraine (Stan) Romey, Ronald Wetzel, Lynnette (Rawlin) Kinney, Rolyn (Cheryl) Wetzel, and Richard (Gale) Wetzel; brother, LeRoy (Sharlene) Albertsen; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
