Andre W. Smith

Andre "Andy" W. Smith, passed away on March 2, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska.

He was born April 7, 1939 in Boone, Iowa to the late Herbert and Elizabeth (Lundgren) Smith. After high school, he served in the National Guard for six years. He was Ford parts manager until his retirement, then he worked at Millard South in the security team. He was a Master Mason, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, and a member of Countryside Community Church. He was also a member of the Omaha American Legion Post #1. He enjoyed traveling with family, and He and Marylinn traveled with the Westside High School Show Choir. He also had a passion for cars and his beloved pets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (White) Smith; sister, Lynn Runge (Gus); and brother, Tobie Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Marylinn (Johnson Gregory) Smith; son, Leighton Smith (Michelle); granddaughter, Margaret; step-sons, Jeffrey Gregory (Linda), David Gregory, Michael Gregory (Lisa), Mark Gregory (Michelle); seven step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; brother, H. Scott Smith (Barbara); sister-in-law, Corliss Smith; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation is Thursday, March 9, 2023, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, 1221 N. 16th St., Council Bluffs, IA.

Funeral Service is Friday, March 10, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Countryside Community Church, 13130 Faith Plz, Omaha, NE.

Interment is in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa. Memorials will be directed by the family.
