Andrew Gunderson

Andrew A. "Drew" Gunderson, age 51, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born August 21, 1972 in Council Bluffs, IA.

Andy graduated from Tri-Center High School with the class of 1990. On September 7, 1996, Andy married the love of his life, Linda Jean Brich, and together they raised their three children. He was a coach, dance dad, and his children's biggest fan in all they did. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, farming, camping, playing cards, jamming out to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was the proudest Papa, the best dad, loving son, uncle, and the most loving husband. He had the biggest heart and the greatest laugh. Andy loved his work in insurance as it was a perfect fit for him. He was able to make meaningful relationships that will last forever.

Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyd and Ina Sperry and Keith and Betty Gunderson; grandfather, Jack Trebbe; step-father, Joel Hall; father-in-law, Francis "Butch" Brich.

Andy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Gunderson; children, Taylor (Emily) Gunderson, Alicia (Marty) Dollen, and Bryce (Kelsi) Gunderson; grandchildren, Quinley Gunderson, Raegan Dollen, Navy Gunderson, and Drake Dollen; mother, Marcia (Bill Brown) Hall Brown; sister, Betsy (Terry) Mayfield; grandmother, Dixie Trebbe; mother-in-law, Marlene (Ron Arrick) Brich; siblings-in-law, Kristi (Scott) Miller, Chad Brich, Curt (Kristie) Brich, Janet (Shane) Thonvold, Craig (Kristina) Brich, and Amy (Brian) Skow; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, October 02, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Interment is in Lytle Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.

Following the interment, a celebration of his life will take place at the Minden Community Building until 6:00 p.m.
