Annabel Lantz Pina

Annabel Piña, 61

It is with great sadness that the family of Annabel Lantz Piña announces her sudden passing on Saturday, July 29, 2017 due to complications from her long struggle with lupus. She was born August 15, 1955, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Lantz and Eloise (Heckert) Lantz.

On November 24, 1995 she was united in marriage to Thomas A. Piña in Indio, California. Tom and Ann owned and operated A+ Printing and Copy in Indio until their retirement in 2008. While Ann was challenged with health complications, she enjoyed reading, genealogy, and spending time with her beloved pets, Tigger, Sammy, and Angel. Ann was overjoyed to be admitted as a member of the Glenwood Chapter of National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2013.

She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Piña of Glenwood; daughter Alison Reasoner of Skidmore, Missouri; a brother, Eric Lantz of Red Oak, Iowa; and two sisters, Enid Sparr of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Greta Nelson of Crescent, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Eloise Lantz, and daughter, Amanda (Vanderbrug) Lucero.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 5:00 pm, at the Hawthorne United Methodist Church, 1248 210th Street, Red Oak. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations to the CHI Health Foundation, 10101 Maple Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68134, in recognition of the excellent care Ann received from their doctors and nurses.
