Arlin Showers

Arlin F. Showers, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2024.

He was born August 3, 1936, to the late Floyd and Helen (Basch) Showers in Council Bluffs, IA. Arlin graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired as an electrician from the Union Pacific Railroad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Pat Clapp; brothers, LeRoy Showers and Dewayne Showers; sister, Marilyn Showers.

Arlin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly Showers; children, Jeff Showers and Lisa Clapp; grandchildren, Dean Showers, Parker Clapp, and Preston Clapp; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2024. Entombment will be in the Ridgewood Mausoleum. The family will direct memorials.
