Arthur E. Sieck

Arthur E. Sieck Jr., age 85, passed away February 5, 2016 at the Hospice with Heart Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa. He was born in Council Bluffs on August 31, 1930 to the late Arthur Doc and Gladys (Ford) Sieck Sr. Art graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1947 and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifelong farmer and cattle feeder. Art is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane (Blake) Sieck; sons, David Sieck and his wife Kim, Daniel Sieck; sister, Marian Geise; brother, Robert Sieck and his wife Beverly; grandchildren, Maddison Sieck, Evan Sieck, Alexa Sieck. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment with Military Honors will be later that afternoon in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice with Heart, The American Heart Association or Mills County 4-H.
