Arthur Kannedy

Arthur Kannedy, age 84, passed away May 31, 2019.

He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on January 23, 1935 to the late Ira and Stella (Williamson) Kannedy. Art proudly served his country in the United States Army and then retired from Local 1140.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Edward Kannedy and grandson, Nathan Kannedy; brother, Ira Kennedy Jr.; sisters, Delores Sales and Charlotte Vaughn; eight half siblings

Art is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jennie (Lewis) Kannedy; children, Doreen Mowery (Greg) and Ben Kannedy (Lori); siblings, Joyce Sanders (Dennis), Lois Brown (Archie), John Kannedy (Judy) and Dave Kannedy (Teri); grandchildren, Crystal Fetter (Andrew), Kayla Kannedy, Colin Kannedy, Meghann Flair (Tom), Ryan Kannedy (Laura) ; great grandchildren, Conner Mowery, Bronx Fetter, Richard Arthur Fetter, Hezekiah Fetter, Emmanuel Fetter, Aden Flair, Kaitlyn Flair, Emma Flair, Hector Dean Kannedy & Hope Kannedy; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral Home. Interment will be later that afternoon in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
