Arthur Will Rath

Arthur Rath, age 82, of Treynor, Iowa passed away August 2, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was born in Council Bluffs on November 30, 1931 to the late Irvin & Elvira (Heithoff) Rath. He graduated from Treynor High School with class of 1951 and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifetime farmer and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Jeanette Rath. Art is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Rath; sons, Randy Rath and Tracy Rath; daughter, Nikki Rath-Woods; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Towne (Dan), Jessica Frain (Austin), Austin Rath, Tyler Woods and Lexi Woods; 3 great grandchildren, Perrin Towne, Tracen Frain and Colter Frain; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Wednesday 5-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday 11AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor. Interment is in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Lamar Hartje Post #725. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Treynor Fire and Rescue or Make-A-Wish.
