Ashley Nicole German

On May 18th, 2016, Ashley Nicole German at the age of 23, passed away peacefully in her sleep while at home. Ashley was born on March 5th, 1993 to the parents of Vernon German Jr. and Laura Geyer. Being the middle sister to the eldest, Christopher, and the youngest, Shania, Ashley was surrounded by nothing but love from the family in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota, along with her sidekick and companion Meya (the family poodle). Ashley has been battling a number of medical conditions since she was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was roughly 1 years old. Ashley lived an exciting and eventful life by having the ability to personally meet N*SYNC, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, and a multitude of other famous music artists, with Country Music being her most favorite genre. Always showing nothing short of joy and happiness, Ashley was provided the best life someone in her situation could live. She attended Longfellow Elementary followed by Wilson Jr. High, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2011. A celebration of Ashleys life will be held on Wednesday, May 25th with open visitation 5:30 pm-7:30 pm with special remarks at 6:30 pm at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs, IA.
