Barbara Darrington

Barbara J. Darrington, age 92, passed away on November 22, 2024.

She was born at home on June 5, 1932, to the late Virgil and Hazel (Ricker) George in Underwood, IA. Barbara graduated from Underwood High School with the class of 1950.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Darrington.

Barbara is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lynell and Kirk Vorthmann and Jolene & Ron Lammert; son and daughter-in-law, Neil & Kathy Darrington; grandchildren, Kelby (Jennifer) Vorthmann, Kendell (Stephani) Vorthmann, Wade (Alisha) Vorthmann, Jacob (Rachel) Lammert, Josh (Morgan) Lammert, Jordan (Alex) Lammert, Adam (Jenna Lansing) Darrington, Holly (Dylan) Miller, Heidi Darrington, and Erik Darrington; 21 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Interment is in the Grange Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Community of Christ Underwood Congregation, Underwood Fire and Rescue, or Westfair.
