Barbara E. Shriver

Barbara E. Shriver, age 67, passed away March 29, 2017 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. She was born on February 19, 1950 in Nebraska City, NE to the late Glenn and Arva (Post) Ekhoff.

She attended school at Cook Community Schools in Cook, NE. She was married to Darwin Shriver on February 27, 1988 in York, NE and together they had four children.

She is survived by her husband, Darwin of Council Bluffs; children: Darin (Jill) Shriver of Persia, IA, Dawn (Brian) Witt of Honey Creek, IA, Kipp (Merideth) Erickson of New Braunfels, TX, and Aaron (Tara) Shriver of Auburn, NE; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; brothers, Gene (Diane) Ekhoff of Cook, NE and Jerry (Mary) Ekhoff of Aurora, NE and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation Sat., 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m., all at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Honey Creek. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Persia, IA following the lunch. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
