Bette J. Hansen

Bette J. Hansen, age 90, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 1, 2014. She was born in Council Bluffs on July 11, 1924, to the late John and Alma (Hansen) Stevens. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. Bette worked at both J.C. Penny and Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was an especially talented cook and seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hansen; brother, Paul Stevens; sister, Pauline Peterson. Bette is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tim Chew; son and daughter-in-law, Les and Rosalie Hansen; grandchildren, Mikki Chew (Chris Lawry), Chad Chew (Sierra), John Hansen and Jake Hansen (Laura); 2 great grandchildren, Alex and Addlee. She will be terribly missed by them all. Private family service will be held with burial in the Lewis Township Cemetery.
