Bettie A. Ives

Bettie A. Ives, age 65 of Council Bluffs passed away January 29, 2013 at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 2, 1947 to the late Paul Wood Sr. and Norma (Jones) Wood. Bettie and her husband Ken owned and operated Bluffs Taxi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Wood Jr. Bettie is survived by her loving husband, Ken Ives; children, Vicki Price (Dale), Patty Knott (Paul), Bonnie Heinen (Rick), Michael Ives (Jamie), Suzanne Philbrick (Jamie), William Ives, Jeannie Higgins (Dave), Jody Tracy (Timothy); sister, Connie Anderson (Jerry); brothers, John Wood (Marianne) and Donald Wood; 27 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends and of course, their Min Pin, Sir Degan. The family will host an open house in her honor on Sunday February 10, 2013 from 1-3PM at First Christian Church 20794 Hwy 92 in Council Bluffs.
