Betty Gardner

Betty Jean Gardner, age 94, passed away peacefully August 14, 2024. She was born March 4, 1930 to Albert and Hulda (Peters) Schultz in Shelby, IA. Betty lived in Underwood, IA and moved to Council Bluffs where she lived most of her life. She married Norman Gardner in 1951 and the couple had 2 children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by spouse, Norman Gardner; infant daughter, Debra Gardner.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (David) Hill; son, Mark (Kelly Buehler) Gardner; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Sue) Schultz, and Bruce Peters.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. Interment is in the Harlan, Iowa Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
