Betty J. Wormley

Betty Jean Wormley, age 97, beloved mother, passed away in Council Bluffs, Iowa on November 16, 2018.

She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 10, 1921 to the late Argus and Mary (Burdette) Spurgeon. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1939 and was a member of the Woodland Community Bible Church.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Wormley, in 1998; and her sister, Margaret Millard.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Wakehouse (Gary); sons, John K. Wormley (Ruth), David A. Wormley (Maelene); 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is Friday, November 23, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Woodland Community Bible Church or a charity of your choice.
