Beulah B. Igou, age 100 of Council Bluffs passed away November 8, 2012 at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital. She was born on her family farm southeast of Dow City on October 4, 1912 to the late William & Anna (Brundige) Coburn. As a child Beulah was baptized into the LDS church. Beulah worked for Evelyn’s Café in Dow City and Cronk’s Café in Denison before putting in many years at Blue Star Foods, retiring in 1970. After her retirement she worked for the Post Office in Ortonville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Walter Igou ; son, Marlyn Igou; step-daughter, Evelyn; daughter-in-law, Darlene Igou; 12 siblings. Beulah is survived by her sons, Walter Igou and George Igou (Maxine); daughter, Audrey Lampp (Aaron); grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday 2-4PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday 10AM at the funeral home followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment will be that afternoon in the Dow City Cemetery.
