Beverly J. Mace-May, age 84, of Council Bluffs went to be with her father, Jesus Christ, on August 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on June 1, 1934 to the late Russell and Harriet (Clausen) Thompson. Beverly was a career nurse, graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with her BSN and retiring from Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church for over 45 years and was a part of the "Friends of God" bible study group.
Beverly was a very loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, nurse, teacher, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Mace Jr. and Ralph May.
Beverly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Haley Mace; daughter, Holly Mace (Shane Ratliff); grandchildren, Bailee, Luke and Blake Mace; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Sylvia Thompson, John and Linda Thompson; step-sons, Aaron May and Nate May; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation is 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
