Bill E. Williams

Bill E. Williams, 89, passed away January 24th in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Council Bluffs October 21, 1922, the son of Theresa and William Williams. His parents preceded him in death as did his first wife, Iris. He was a 1940 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Though he didn't serve in WWII for medical reasons, he aided the war effort greatly being employed by both Lockheed Aircraft in California and Martin Bomber in Omaha as a mechanical engineer. He was employed by International Harvester for 45 years as a parts sales engineer. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Kitty (Peters) Williams and fondly remembered by her children Mark and Pamela Peters of New York City, granddaughter Amanda of San Francisco and grandson Morgan Peters of New York City. Also carrying Bill in their hearts are his loving sisters Phoebe Cerveny of Council Bluffs, Ruth Head of Omaha, and Clarice Sheaman of Sydney, Nebraska, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Institute for Holocaust Education, 333 S. 132nd St., Omaha, NE 68154, or The Hospice of Southwest Iowa.
