Bonnie J. Mack

Bonnie J. Mack, age 84 of Council Bluffs passed away September 12, 2013 at Hospice with Hearts Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 21, 1928 to the late Martin & Ina (Lownes) Smith. Bonnie worked in the cosmetic department at Kresges and then K-Mart Department Store for over 40 years before retiring and moving to San Diego California. She lived there for 22 years and then returned to Council Bluffs in 1994 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She had a passion for collecting owls. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mack and brother, Scott Smith. Bonnie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penny & John Woods; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Howard Shoemaker; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Nancy Smith; sister-in-law, Rosemary Smith; 2 granddaughters, Denise Doherty (Leonard) and Wendy Donaldson; great grandchildren, Zach Rasmussen (Kaylee), Haleigh Campbell, Travis Bodfield and Jared Doherty; great-great grandson, Bentley Rasmussen; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. There will be no services. Thank you to Hospice with Heart and Jennie Edmundson for the care of our mother during her last days.
