Byron W. Bruning

Byron W. Bruning, age 74, of Treynor, Iowa passed away November 19, 2018.

He was born in Council Bluffs on July 15, 1944 to the late Clifford and Aurelia (Vorthmann) Bruning. Byron was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor and had also served on the Treynor city council. He was a tool and die designer, retiring from Lucent Technologies.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Barton Bruning.

Byron is survived by his sons, Ryan Bruning and Jonas Bruning (Trudy Hodges); significant other, Marcy Dergan; brother, Burnel Bruning; grandchildren, Abigail, Katie, Olivia, Kaleb, Mason, Jonny, Zach and Deidre; longtime friend, Lana Bruning; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service is 1:00p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service. Interment is in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Treynor Fire and Rescue or St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
