Carol Jean Falkenhainer

Carol Jean (Madsen) Falkenhainer, age 78, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away Monday, November 5, 2012. She was born January 31, 1934 in Edison, Nebraska to the late Franklin Miles Jones and Florence Pearl McGinnis. Carol married Jerry Madsen in June of 1953. Carol and Jerry had two sons, Michael and Kerry. She was a 48 year employee of Fuchs Machinery, retiring in 2000. She was also a long time member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. She loved to sing in a choir and belonged to several choirs over the years, including the Omaha Symphony Chorus. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Gerald Eugene Madsen in 1984. She is survived by her husband, Tasker Falkenhainer and her two sons, Kerry Madsen and wife Lynn of Council Bluffs, IA and Michael Madsen and wife Debbie of Papillion, NE, sister-in-law Patricia Madsen, Omaha Ne., Granddaughters, Cheryl, Tricia, Katie, Kimberly, Michelle and Lindsey, and great grandchildren, Gabe, Connor and Jaicob. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church with Pastor Kim Brouse officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Memorials are suggested to Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church.
