Carrie Josephine Brown

Carrie J. Brown, age 64 of Council Bluffs passed away September 26, 2011 at Hospice with Heart?s Hospice House at Glenwood, Iowa. She was born January 2, 1947 at Villisca, Iowa to the late Maxen E. & Loeita M. (Perkins) Bachler. Carrie had retired earlier this year from Omaha Public Schools. Carrie is survived by her husband, Richard L. ?Charley? Brown to whom she married August 24, 1968; sons, Jimmi Jon Brown & wife, Rose and Ryan Stephen Brown & fiancée, Tammy; step-mother, Stella Bachler; 4 grandchildren; Cousin, Wanda McNeal as well as many other cousins. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Service is Thursday 10:30AM also at the funeral home. The family will be present during the hour prior to the service to also greet family and friends. A reception will follow the service in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. Cortege will leave the mortuary after the reception for graveside services in the Thurman, Iowa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice with Heart?s Hospice House at Glenwood.
