Cecile Irene Hiller

Cecile Irene (Jacobsen) Hiller, age 80, of Council Bluffs passed away at her home on August 14, 2017.

She was born October 18, 1936 to the late Nels and Irene (Holeton) Jacobsen on their farm that was northeast of Logan, Iowa.

Cecile graduated from Magnolia High School and attended Commercial Extension School of Business. She was united in marriage to Harold Hiller on April 12, 1958 and they were blessed with four children. She retired from National Indemnity Company in 2009. Cecile was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir for several years. She was active in the PTA at DeForest School and loved Christian Music. She played the piano in high school and Magnolia Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2003; brothers-in-law, Clifford Williams and Murril Griffith; nephew, Larry Williams.
Cecile is survived by her children, Lynn Hiller, Danny Hiller (Mary), Teri Hiller and Sheri Stokes; grandchildren, Daniel, Jolyn and Jacob; step-grandchildren, Lacey and Amanda (Ryan); great grandson, JD; sister, Janice Griffith; brother, Eugene Jacobsen (Karen); sister, Beverly Jorgensen (Steve), Virgene Ohl (Rick); sister-in-law, Patricia Matheson (Lowell); nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00a.m. on Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church – 3320 Harry Langdon BLVD in Council Bluffs. Interment is in the Lewis Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God or Hospice of Southwest Iowa.
