Charles J. Heitman II, age 82, of rural Council Bluffs, passed away January 8, 2017 at CHI Mercy Hospital.
He was born in Council Bluffs on May 13, 1934 to the late Charles J. and Hedwig (Boehm) Heitman. Chuck graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1952 and was a lifelong farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Heitman III and brother, Warren Heitman.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Ramona Heitman; children, Cathy Turner and her husband Craig, Marilyn Heitman and her husband Bob Viola, Rhonda Diller and her husband Jeff, Tom Heitman and his wife Sarah, and Suzanne Simmons; sister, Delores Deitchler; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; step-children, Melody Harwager and her husband Timothy, Andrea Wyatt and her husband Jim, Martin Molnar, Aaron Molnar and his wife Lisa; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation is 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment is in the St. Paul Evangelical Country Church Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
