Charles J. Sherman

Charles J. Sherman, age 76, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on October 29, 2015. He was born in Pine Ridge, South Dakota on November 17, 1938 to the late Mark Sherman and Nancy Salway. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Rodney and Johnny Sherman. Charles is survived by his daughters, Sandy Tyler (Greg), Tara Sherman, Jodie Sherman, Jolie DeLeo (Michael), Amie Juergensen (Eric), Lindie Sherman (Troy Linnenburger); sisters, Mayda, Amy Lou and Marilyn; brothers, Benjamin, Richard, Gerald, Marlon and Mark; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; former spouse, Brenda Galitz. Visitation is 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Additional service and burial will be later in the week on the reservation near Hisle, South Dakota.
