Charles N. Peterson

Charles N. Peterson, age 87, of Council Bluffs passed away April 11, 2015. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 29, 1928 to the late Arthur and Nora (Ramsdell) Peterson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was called into the Gospel ministry and traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and other foreign countries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth L. Peterson; granddaughter, Shanaye L. Collins; brother, Arthur Peterson; sister, Vera Kany. Charles is survived by his daughters, Ann Larrew and her husband Steve of Council Bluffs, Debra Peterson of Council Bluffs, Charlotte Doueiry of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Melissa Castro, Annette Arnold, Alysia Cavanaugh, Alexa Doueiry, Naji Doueiry; great grandchildren, Madelyn Lemrick, Anthony Castro, Anna Castro, Zachary Arnold, Myra Castro, Lyla Cavanaugh, Sadey Cavanaugh. Visitation is Thursday (April 16, 2015) 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday (April 17, 2015) 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Rainbow Post #2. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Legion.
