Christinia Palser

Christinia M. Palser, age 77, passed away at CHI Health Mercy Hospital on September 30, 2023.

She was born October 5, 1945, to the late Clarence and Muriel (Greenwood) Aughe Sr., in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Christinia graduated from Nishna Valley High School with the class of 1963. She then completed the C.E. School of Commerce. Christinia retired from the tax department at Union Pacific Railroad after working there for 47 years.

Christinia married Darrel Palser on October 18, 1964. They were married for 54 years prior to his passing in 2019.

Christinia was a member of the high school reunion planning committee, Opti-Mrs., volunteered for 40 years with the Henry Doorly Zoo Drive, and was a member of First Christian Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel.

Christinia is survived by her children John (Stacia) Palser and Stephanie (Doug Hansman) Palser; siblings, Shirley Sinnot, Beverly (Ron) Dickinson, Clarence (Ruth) Aughe Jr., Nathan (Cindi) Aughe, and Scott Aughe; grandchildren, Harrison and Claire Palser; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, 2023. Interment is in the Hastings, Iowa, Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
