Clayton Andrew Meeker

Clayton A. Clay Meeker, age 83, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on July 10, 2016. He was born in Magnolia, Iowa on November 23, 1932 to the late Clifford and Mary (Griffis) Meeker. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clay founded Clays Pump and Equipment Company in 1959. After retiring, he and Diane enjoyed their many years of traveling to Texas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Larry, Merle and Dale Meeker; sisters, Margaret Kinsella, Lois Erixon, Maryann Farnsworth, Wilma Nodean; grandson, Austin Siems. Clay is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diane Meeker; children, Debra Sprowls and her husband Scott, Randy Meeker and his wife Kandace, Patricia Boatright and her husband Dan, Linda Siems and her husband Mel, Carolyn Wellman and her husband Tony; sisters, Darlene Forsen and her husband Kenneth, Donna Zywiec and Barbara Meeker; brothers, Dwight Meeker and Ronnie Meeker and his wife Glenda; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
