Clifford W. Lundergard, age 86, of Logan, Iowa passed away on December 23, 2016 at Longview Home in Missouri Valley.
He was born June 6, 1930 in rural Harrison County to the late James S. and Carrie (Jessen) Lundergard. At the age of 10, Clifford’s dad passed away and this is when he truly began farming. In spite of this burden, he was able to graduate from Missouri Valley High School in 1949. Besides farming, Clifford was a cattle feeder and for nineteen years he was a hail adjuster for crops.
Clifford married Marlene O’Neill and three sons and one daughter were born to this union. Clifford loved to bowl and golf and was able to do both most anytime he wanted in later years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lundergard.
He is survived by his wife Marlene; sons, Kevin (Andrea), Bill (Kathy Jo) and Todd Lundergard; daughter, Lisa Lundergard; brother, Donald (Betty) Lundergard; sister, Mary Ann (Kenneth) Kocour; sister-in-law, Marian Lundergard; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 1PM, with funeral services to follow at 2PM, at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs Iowa. Interment is in the Grange Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or Logan Rescue.
