Colleen Lucille Kile

Colleen L. Kile, age 83, of Council Bluffs passed away on April 30, 2015. She was born on July 18, 1931 to John and Elsie (Mastin) Hull in Corydon, Iowa. Colleen was united in marriage to Hersel L. Kile on May 23, 1947 in Rising Sun, Iowa. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs as an EKG and respiratory therapy technician for many years before retiring in 1986. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Hersel L. Kile; and sister, Alice Grogan. She is survived by sons, Hersel Kile Jr., Richard (Geri) Kile, and John (Kellie) Kile; brother, Delbert (Tomi Peggy) Hodge; sister, KayEllen Dominguez; 6 grandchildren: Justin (Rachel) Kile, Jared Kile, Jordan Kile, Trevor Kile, Melissa Kile, and Nicholas Kile (significant other Rebecca); great grandchildren: Ethan, Lilly, Celena, and Kamea Kile; other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday at 2PM at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the hour prior to the service. Colleen and Hersel will be buried together at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
