Connie E. Sapienza

Connie E. Sapienza, age 74, of Carter Lake, Iowa passed away February 7, 2015. She was born in Omaha on December 5, 1940 to the late Lawrence and Alice (Wright) Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Donnie Gale; great grandson and an infant twin brother. Connie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fred Sapienza; daughters, Lena Gale, Cheryl Thomsen (Dean), Patricia Hazen (Randy); sons, Richard Sapienza, Alfio Sapienza (Melissa); brother, Larry Smith( Ann); brothers-in-law, Frank Sapienza (Peggy), Bert Zampese; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Vigil service will be Friday 5:30PM followed by visitation until 8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday 10AM Corpus Christi Our Lady of Carter Lake Catholic Church. Interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
