Curtis D. Evans, age 79, of Council Bluffs passed away July 26, 2016. He was born in Tyler, Texas on February 26, 1937 to the late Gordon Evans and Helen (Henricks) Evans. Curtis was a professional truck driver and was best known for his involvement at Acorn Supply on Saturday mornings. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Helen and Clifford McDuffie; father, Gordon Evans, half-brothers, Jerry McDuffie and Fred Evans. Curtis is survived by his wife, Iris Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sarah Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Aaron Hostetler; sister, Colletta Wilson; 5 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.
