Dale Delmo Herrick

Dale D. Herrick, age 83, passed away November 18, 2014 at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley. He was born in Underwood, Iowa on July 21, 1931 to the late Charles & Margaret (Duchman) Herrick. After graduating from Underwood High School he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after a career with the U.S. Postal Service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ilene Herrick, Adalene Rhoades, Verle Suntken and Betty Frechin; brother, Bud Herrick. Dale is survived by his wife of 59 years, LaVonda (Griffis) Herrick; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy & Steve Ryba, Cheryl & Brad Goldsberry; son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Rox Anne Herrick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean & Katherine Herrick, Robert & Helen Herrick; sister, Bonnie Wheeldon; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Friday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. The family will direct memorials.
