Dale Ferrel

Dale G. Ferrel, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2024.

He was born May 2, 1934, to the late Jesse and Eva (Skipton) Ferrel in Council Bluffs, IA. Dale graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Sorensen; great grandson, Nathan Jones; brother, Carl "Bud" Ferrel.

Dale is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris Ferrel; daughters, DeEtt Sorensen and DeNean Carlson-Rozic; siblings, Joe Ferrel, Sandy Belt, and Glen Wilber; grandchildren, Michelle (Rich) Foote, Kevin (Megan) Sorensen, Kelly Sorensen, Amber (Phillip) Hawk, and Alison (Alex) Hibler and 9 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The family will direct memorials.
