Dana D. Budlong

Dana D. Budlong, age 53, of Council Bluffs passed away January 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1962 in Dubuque, Iowa to the late Diryal and Mary Budlong. Dana was a volunteer, treasurer, and maintenance at Lighthouse for AA and NA. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered frequently at the Stephen Center in Omaha. He and Tonya also were foster parents for the past 5 years. He had a heart of gold and wanted to help others until the very end. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Travis Vincent. He is survived by his wife Tonya Budlong; ten children: Tristin Budlong, Autumn Budlong, Alie Bothwell, Lexie Bothwell, Scotty Bothwell, Georgetta Bothwell, Dana Budlong Jr., Ron Vincent II, Jacob Vincent, and Nicole Vincent; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Taylor, Kathy (George) Orso, and Michelle Wise; brother, Danny Budlong; step-father, Earl Grant; several nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends. Visitation Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service, Friday, 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Garner Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
