Daniel Foutch

July 5, 1954 — March 13, 2025

Daniel D. Foutch, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on March 13, 2025.

He was born July 5, 1954 to Gale and Myra (Radcliff) Foutch in Frankfurt, Germany. Daniel was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1973. He then proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was aboard the USS Yosemite AD19 Ship. Daniel received the National Defense Service Medal & Good Conduct Medal while in the Navy.

In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing & wrenching on cars. He worked at Warren Distribution and retired from there in 2017. Dan was an avid Husker football fan, he enjoyed talking politics (everything TRUMP), he had the largest garden and loved sharing his bounty with everyone. You could find him in the kitchen cooking up a random recipe he found in one of his many cookbooks. He loved reading and was very interested in all things history. Rain or shine, near or far, Dan and Wilma made it to sit front row at the grandkids' events. Dan was also known to have a love for animals. Pugsley, Tommy, Obi, & Daisy were all very spoiled pups. He and Wilma had rescued dogs and even a feral cat named Pickles that Dan found at the post office. Over the years, he evolved from Kenny Rogers lookalike to Santa Claus clone. Dan's bright smile and gentle manner will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Foutch-Noguchi.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 25 years, Wilma Foutch; children, Waylon (Christina) Foutch, Sarah Foutch, Ben (Gina) Foutch, Amanda (Josh) Arnett, and Sarah (Pete Eckerman) Wengert; siblings, Carl (Micky) Foutch and Marie (Jim) McDaniel; grandchildren, Brody, Treyton, Michaela, Elijah, Brihanna, Xavier, Sadie, Abigail, Dillon, Rylan, Zyonna, Kymani, Josiah, Juno, Abigail, and Rylan; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
