Daniel Jay Christensen

Daniel J. Christensen, age 52, Underwood, Iowa passed away December 5, 2015. Dan was born in Council Bluffs on January 23, 1963. He graduated from Underwood High School with the class of 1981 and then attended Iowa State University for undergraduate studies in agricultural economics. He earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dan was an account manager for Monsanto. He was an avid collector of Allis Chalmers tractors and implements and was passionate about preserving his familys Century Farm in Underwood. In addition, he was highly active with Boy Scouts Troop 550 and tolerated camping because he loved spending time with his son. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Alan Christensen. Dan is survived by his wife, Sue Christensen; son, Matthew Christensen; mother, Sally Christensen; brother, Steve Christensen; sister and brother-in-law, Paula Jo and Donald Jones; father-in-law, Emerick Maurer; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment is in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery- Boomer Township. Memorials are suggested to Boy Scouts of America Troop 550 in Council Bluffs.
