David C. Steppuhn, age 70, passed away at Methodist Hospital February 2, 2022.
He was born July 30, 1951, to the late Robert and Mary Annabelle (Bates) Steppuhn in Council Bluffs, IA. David graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1969. He proudly served in the Iowa Army National Guard and retired from Keebler Cookie Company which became a part of Kellogg's. Dave loved fishing. Trying his skill in Canada, and many locations across the country. Dave never met a stranger. If you were willing to listen to his many stories, he could talk for hours.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Steppuhn; brother-in-law, Bud Larsen; father-in-law, Leon Chambers; mother-in-law, Marilee Chambers; step mother-in-law, Norma Chambers; and brother-in-law, John Chambers.
David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Steppuhn; children, Craig (Brooke) Steppuhn, and Brandy (Joe) Burroughs; grandchildren, Hayleigh (Shawn) Klein, Olivea Burroughs, Hayden Steppuhn, Ava Steppuhn, Piper Steppuhn, Carver Steppuhn; great granddaughter, Dynaleigh Klein; sister, Tina Larsen; sisters-in-law, Joyce Steppuhn, Kathy Van Riper (Elwood), LeeAnne Chambers, Belinda Peirce (Dave), Lisa Pickett; brothers-in-law, Kevin Pickett (Linda), Trent Pickett (Tracey), and Trevor Pickett (Kris); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, February 07, 2022.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
