Debra S. Hipnar

Debra S. Hipnar, age 60, of Omaha passed away December 19, 2016 at the Josie Harper Hospice House.

She was born in Harlan, Iowa on December 18, 1956 to the late Donald and Marlene (Nahkunst) Hipnar. Debra graduated from Avo-Ha High School in Avoca, Iowa in 1975. She attended college at the University of Northern Iowa where she received her teaching degree. Deb taught school in Treynor, Iowa for 17 years and Lifegate Christian School in Omaha for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Debra is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Carla Hipnar; nieces, Jessica and Ashley Hipnar; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is on Monday December 26, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm and funeral service is at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 27, 2016 both at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. There will be an additional celebration of her life on January 3rd at Lifegate Church, 15555 West Dodge Road, in Omaha, beginning at 2:00 pm. Deb's wishes were to be cremated with her ashes to be dispersed over the Rocky Mountains as her final resting place.
