Delmar F. Patton

Delmar F. Patton, age 85, of Council Bluffs passed away at home on September 14, 2015. He was born in Minden, Iowa on April 20, 1930 to the late Herschel and Martha (Blumer) Patton. Delmar graduated from Minden High School with the class of 1947 and then proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the John Day Company after 40 years and was a member of First Christian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Patton. Delmar is survived by his wife, Wanita Patton; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Steve Stovall, Jane and Loral Blinde; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Nancy Patton; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. with a funeral service starting at 11:00a.m. on Friday September 18, 2015. A luncheon will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment will be that afternoon in Minden, Iowa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.
