Delwin Schnepel

Delwin S. "Bud" Schnepel, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska on February 7, 2025.

He was born May 20, 1931 in Council Bluffs, IA. Bud graduated from Treynor High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was a career plumber with Local #16 for 54 years, a member of the American Legion Post #2 for 64 years and was a member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church.

Bud was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Schnepel; mother, Freda Schnepel; step-father, Earl Hartje; brothers, Derald Schnepel and Gerald Schnepel.

Bud is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis Schnepel; children, Thomas (Lori) Schnepel, Ann (David) Brust, Janice (Doug) Carlson, and John (Dawn) Schnepel; grandchildren: Brian (Carlie) Schnepel, Amanda (Tate) Brandon, Benjamin Schnepel, Holly (Josh) Green, Eric Mong, Kristina (Matthew) Staab, Sara (Justin) Kraft, Andrew (Heather) Carlson and Zachary (Kahea) Schnepel; great grandchildren: Conner and Charlotte Brandon, Landon Horton, Joanna and Charlotte Staab, Augustine, Gianna, Gabriel, Dominic and Isabella Kraft and Alexander Carlson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Saint Peter's Catholic Church or the Josie Harper Hospice House.
