Dennis E. Foote

Dennis E. Foote, 74, passed away on April 18th, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family in Council Bluffs, IA.

Dennis was born on October 13, 1948 in Council Bluffs, IA to George and Connie Foote. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966 . After high school, Dennis served in the army for 2 years in Vietnam. Dennis met his wife of 35 years, Janis Foote, in 1980 and together they raised 5 children.

Dennis worked at Vicker’s in Omaha, Neb. for 32 years. Some of his passions included hunting, fishing, bowling, softball, basketball volley ball & racing. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was always enjoyable for him.

Dennis was preceded in death by his Father George and Mother Connie brother Randy Foote. He is survived by his wife, Janis Foote (Council Bluffs, IA), His brother Jeff Foote (Amy) Missouri Valley, IA), his Sister Marsha and Doug Miller; His children Dennis Walls (Freddi), Trisha Phillips (Jamel), Scott Foote (Tony), Shane Foote (Julie), and Diane Hicks; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Memorial service is Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Visitation is during the hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Huntington's Disease Society of America.
