Dennis Ray Beckman

Dennis Beckman, age 78, passed away April 15, 2021 at his home with a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born February 17, 1943 to Louis and Anna (Evers) Beckman in Council Bluffs, IA. He retired in 2003 after a 37 year career with Mid-American Energy. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, restoring old John Deere tractors, and was working on restoring a 1956 Chevy. He was a wonderful husband and father, and had an infectious sense of humor. He made people laugh when they were around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Bud, Dick, and John; sisters, Mary and Bette.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Connie Beckman; daughter, Kelli (Beckman) Schneckloth (Tom), of Minden, IA; son, Jeff Beckman (Lisa) of Oakland, IA; grandchildren, Jacob (Briar) Schneckloth of Walnut, IA and Ethan Schneckloth and Jadyn Beckman; sister, Margie Nelson of Centennial, CO; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, April 19, 2021. Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
The service will be streamed below starting at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
