Diana L. Whaley

Diana L. (Smith) Whaley passed away March 4, 2012 at the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born January 6, 1958 in Council Bluffs to the late Alfred L. Smith & Doris (Harrison) Smith. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1976 and lived in both Council Bluffs and Carson. Diana was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was cherished by her family. In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her son, Troy Whaley. Diana is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Tracey & Allen Smith; son, Nickalos Whaley (Jazimine Sherbon); granddaughter, JaseLynn Whaley; brothers, William Smith (Ruth Anne), Daniel Smith, David Smith (Sylvia); sisters, Penny Dahlke (Brad) and Emily Smith; longtime companion, Kevin Dronberger; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Funeral service is Friday 6:00PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
