Diane Kay Cavenee

Diane Kay Cavenee, of Council Bluffs, passed away on June 13, 2017.

She was born Sunday, June 13, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was adopted by John and Evelyn Cavenee of Gibbon, Nebraska.

She retired from OPPD as a Combustion Turbine Technician Coordinator in 2013 with 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, listening to music and reading. She served six years on the board of Friends of the Council Bluffs Public Library. She volunteered at the city animal shelter for SOLAS (Support Our Local Animal Shelter) and provide foster care for cats in her home.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Cavenee and his family; friends Karen Hardman, Shelley English and Rhonda Dawson; and many other friends.

A reception will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home.
