Donna Mae "Maye" Fouts "Withers" of Shenandoah Iowa, passed away February 8, 2025 after a long illness. She was born November 12, 1931 in the town of Modale, IA. Her parents were Eugene Vester and Maye Delilah "Roller" Withers. The Withers family moved to East Omaha where she attended Pershing School, after graduating from eighth grade in East Omaha. She went to Technical High School in Omaha NE, it is now "Omaha Public School Head Quarters", where she graduated in 1949.
Donna worked for Omaha National Bank and First National Bank in the 1950's, as a bookkeeper where she met her husband, Russell Fouts. They married on April 2, 1955. A year after they got married, they had a daughter Rhonda Kay, a few years later they had a son Kevin Dean. Donna worked as a homemaker, housekeeper, care taker for the elderly people, and bookkeeper. After Russell retired, they moved to Shenandoah, IA in 1993. Donna worked as a care taker for Home Health Care Companies, in the surrounding areas, and bookkeeper at a local hotel, and food prep at a local restaurant in Shenandoah.
Donna was preceded in death by her sister Joann Withers in 1938; her father Eugene Vester in 1971; her mother Maye Delilah "Roller" in 1991; her husband Russell in 1994; her daughter Rhonda in 2005; and sister Amah D. "Withers" Widener in 2023.
Donna is survived by her son Kevin Fouts of Shenandoah, IA; her two brothers Clifford E. (Georgia) Withers of Fort Calhoun, NE and Tom M. (Sally) of Omaha NE; her sister Leah H. Withers of Bloomfield, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
