Donna Lucille Grossner Foje, age 96, passed away May 28, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Home. Donna and her twin sister, Doris Irene Dungan, were born February 4, 1919 on a farm near Harris Grove in La Grange Township in Harrison County, IA. to the late Franklin and Jennie (Bonner) Grossner. Other siblings include: Erma Palmer (deceased), John Grossner (deceased), twins, Vera Hughes (deceased) and Virgil Grossner (deceased), twins, Lois Owens (deceased) and Lorene Earwood of Logan, IA. She graduated from Beebeetown Public Schools in 1937.Donna was united in marriage to Elvin Henry Foje on March 22, 1938. They lived on a farm west of Persia until retiring to Logan in 1987. After Elvins passing in 1995, Donna later moved to Council Bluffs. Donna was a homemaker, active in Trinity Lutheran church, school activities and was an Avon Lady for over 30 years. Donna is survived by her special friend, Don Skow of Council Bluffs, IA; children: Vernon Foje (Rose) of Jefferson, IA; Carol Brockmann (Dewey) Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren: Todd Foje (Amy) of Omaha, NE; Kevin Foje of Mansfield, TX; Amy Kuper (Raymond) of Omaha, NE; Kent Brockmann of Council Bluffs, IA; 4 great grandchildren: Nathan, Amanda, Emily Foje of Omaha, NE. and Rachel Arch of Council Bluffs, IA; sister-in-law, Thelma O'Neill of Council Bluffs, IA; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Nathan Sherrill officiating. A luncheon will be held in the church hall immediately following the memorial service. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Persia, Iowa following the luncheon. The family will direct memorials.
